Meet the FUSN Minister
Following Unitarian Universalist custom, FUSN has invited an interim minister to lead the congregation in preparation for the search for a settled minister. The congregation-wide process of choosing a new minister is an opportunity for lay leaders and the congregation to be particularly active in the management of the society and to engage in thought and dialogue about the shared value and aspirations of the congregation. This is an exciting time in the life of FUSN.
The Reverend John Nichols
John Nichols is an Accredited Interim Minister and former leader of the Interim Ministers Guild. As an interim minister, he has served the congregations in White Plains, NY; in the Massachusetts communities of Northampton, Belmont, Brewster, and Framingham; and Providence, Rhode Island.
Before entering the interim ministry he served three congregations as a settled minister: Canton, MA; Hinsdale, IL; and for 23 years Wellesley Hills MA. He is the author of three books, the most recent of which, A Wind Swept Over the Waters, was published by Skinner House books in 2007.
John and his wife Nancy are parents of two adult children and grandparents of four. They live in Wellesley.
Meet with the Minister
The minister is available to talk with members and prospective members by appointment. A group of FUSN members serve as lay ministers, who offer support to families experiencing illness or other difficulties. They can all be reached through the church office: 617-527-3203.
